Projekt MUSE: 2nd page of 4-coma is up….(also some images of the Mai Hime 3 minute blu-ray extras)

For those who left comments in my previous post/dedication to Rannie, thanks for the kind words. I’m certain that if her family were to see your comments, they would be touched. Once again many thanks…

And to attempt to brighten up the mood a bit, work continues and we bring you the second page the Projekt MUSE 4-coma (yonkoma).

This page is entitled, “Elegant.” (Last yonkoma was entitled “fanshionable” in case you missed that). Let’s see what other misconceptions Wilhelmina’s fans can comes up with?

And your vote means a lot so here’s that link once again.

Some Mai Hime related stuff inside.

Before I take off, many, MANY thanks to ShayP for adding the Projekt MUSE homepage link to her fanfic update of Monster. Just read it a few minutes ago and will review when I get back. Thanks to her link addition, we noticed a huge spike in our hits.

If you haven’t caught her update, you can find it here:

On a relevant NatShiz note, I have here some images taken from the 3 minute addition to the 舞- HiME Blu-rays.

the website that provides this info just reiterates the information that I provided you regarding those Blu-Rays but it also includes some interviews from some of the Hime and Reito. I only have time to craptastically translate Saeko-san and Shindou-san’s comments but I figured that should be good enough for now lol.

Interview Question 1: “What was your post recording impression after all this time?”

Ms. Chiba Saeko (Natsuki) : The appearance of Mai Hime was quite some time ago but it was something I missed. I like the Characters of Mai Hime and after so long, it’s nice to be able to hear the voices again.

Ms. Naomi Shindou (Shizuru): It’s been so long since I’ve come back to the starting point of Mai Hime. Nevertheless, with the excitement of seeing the video and picture at home, I cried out loud, “Wow, how pretty!”
Since postrecording had been done a long time ago, I was worried and nervous. Including such a place, once more I felt the strength of the work entitled Mai Hime.

Interview Question 2: “Highlights of the new animation?”

Ms. Chiba Saeko (Natsuki):  Natsuki was lost in the quiet surroundings (laughs). So this time around, please enjoy the characters.

Ms. Naomi Shindou (Shizuru): With little dialogue in short amount of time, the emphasis was on the characters’ expressions and personalities. I think every one will be pleased with the feeling of going back in time (Translator’s note: she’s expresses nostalgia). The atmosphere is enjoyable.

Message to the Fans:

Ms. Chiba Saeko: Please support this so that we can have a movie edition. Thank you very much.

(Translator’s note: Looks like Ms Chiba wants a movie edition as well….WELL DO WHAT SHE SAYS AND SUPPORT THE FRANCHISE! LOL…I can picture Natsuki saying that. XD )

Ms. Naomi Shindou: I think that I can enjoy the innocence of that time though admittingly there are feelings of shamefulness as well. Thank you.

(Translator’s note: This sounded odd to translate but I’m thinking she meant experiencing days of Highschool again when you experience certain things for the first time. She could also be referring to the post-recording session since she expressed nervousness. My translating skills are getting rusty LOL)

091022_bd_c091022_bd_d091022_bd_b091022_bd_e091022_bd_iChiba-sama’s hair is still short in this shot so the the post recording was probably done quite some time ago. As of now, Chiba-sama’s hair is long again and she’s sporting bangs much like her Strike Witches character, Mio Sakamoto lol. Anyway, Chiba-sama (Natsuki) is seated on the front row on the right side next to Mai Nakahara (Mai) and Ai Shimizu (Mikoto)

Shindou-sama is standing in the back left next to Seki (Reito). Yuuka Nanri (Nao) is also standing in the back on the far right. And to the left of her is Yukari Tamura (Midori). Mamiko Noto (Yukino), who I had the chance to meet in person and take out to dinner along with other guests of honor back in 2002, is standing in the back row on the far left. Noto-sama is a very nice person and she kept playing with my “You’re Under Arrest” collector pin when she was our guest at Anime Expo. lol

    OH. MY. GOD.

    List of things to do:
    -Watch Mai HiMe again.
-Ogle Natsuki and Shizuru every time they come on screen like a pathetic fangirl.
    -Hug Natsuki
    -Run from Shizuru
    -Hug Natsuki again!
    -RUN.
    -Try and hug Nats–!
    -Die.

Sorry. Nonstop studying for the last six hours sucks. And I’m pretty sure I’m STILL going to fail. I don’t DO environmental science! I don’t care about pollution and and hazardous wastes and incinerators…

    ugh.

Oh, and I love the last two Projekt Muse pages. Soo funny XD They’re so damn cute.

Things I don’t understand: Why they bothered drawing Akane. Like really. Why didn’t they draw more Natsuki or Shizuru? I think you can guess which of those images is my favorite. …and everyone else’s favorite.

Thanks for taking the time to translate all that! Honestly, how do you walk around with all that awesomeness? I sound like a major kiss-ass. Oooh well.

Back to studying *bangs head on desk* why didn’t they TELL me there was a test tomorrow? Oh they did? Oops.

Lmao, Nao is in a very interesting position. Judging by the shadow I suddenly noticed.. looks.. like.. Mikoto?

Hello Shizuru, hello Natsuki. Thanks for putting out some translations.

Oh man, blast from the past (5 years is over a full quarter of my life). To see all the characters in hi-def would be awesome. We just got a blue-ray player a few months ago, and I love it. Do you know if there’s a chance that the US will get them? I hope so…

“Please support this so that we can have a movie edition. Thank you very much.”

Ms. Chiba, you read my mind. LET’S FUND IT! I have five dollars!

Ugh, I don’t care about that stuff either. I remember the past companies I worked for were always thinking of going green but I could care less especially if going green meant compromising the quality of the packaging that I designed…grrr.

Glad you liked it! The next one is up!

No prob! I figured people would be curious about anything regarding a certain couple LOL.

Hmmm…I had some thoughts about that too but then I forgot that her role in the original series had a hand in setting the course of the series and with her being the first victim EARLY on in the series, it gave viewers a chance to see what “really” happens to a HiME’s loved one. And while we knew ahead of time, the the rest of the girls didn’t and that helped make it a little more tragic.

Natsuki along with Midori were the only ones that were actually researching the whole entire HiME/carnival thing so they had some sort of clue which is why Natsuki told Shizuru not to get too close (the scene where Natsuki was asleep in the council room).

Back to studying *bangs head on desk* why didn’t they TELL me there was a test tomorrow? Oh they did? Oops.

LOL, you sound like me when I was in college.

Yup! That’s Mikoto lol. Kind of reminds me of the first time she had encountered Mikoto. I believe she was in that same position XD

Hello Shizuru, hello Natsuki. Thanks for putting out some translations.

    Welcome ^_-

With BEI’s current financial status, I don’t see them pushing for Blu-Rays for any of their B Titles. (They consider Mai HIme/Otome to be a B title) And Sunrise isn’t giving them any support with the series like they did with Code Geass and Gundam shows. Not even sure how much longer Bandai will have the Mai Hime license or if they will choose to renew it. Sad isn’t it?

Ms. Chiba, you read my mind. LET’S FUND IT! I have five dollars!

LOL….well, I think she had other things in mind but I’m sure she’ll appreciate the effort. XD

I was a bit disappointed when I saw the short clip. I mean, I’m real happy that there was one in the first place, but the fact that there a lot of Himes in such a short time made it difficult to fit in content to give a feature for each one. That would have been nice, but hey, that was their call. Sigh. At least we got something out of the more popular characters.

I don’t like what they did with Reito in that he seemed kind of like a pervert that time when he agreed to come along, plus they made him so whiny like Tate at the beach. It destroyed my image of Reito as a gentleman from the series (when he wasn’t the OL).

I loved Yukino’s bit, though, LOL. That was so priceless! XD Haruka’s presence there was useless without giving her dialogue.

I don’t mean to whine or rant, but I just can’t help it.

On a happy note, lol, In case anyone didn’t know, Yuuka Nanri (Nao) is the singer of Yuki Kajiura’s FictionJunction YUUKA band. Yuki Kajiura is the composer for MH and MO, whose work I’ve been following ever since I fell in love with her music for MH. She also has other all-women groups like Kalafina, and FictionJunction (4 women other than Yuuka). You should check out her music!

Kind of old news about Yuuka Nanri…plus she was the other half of Tiaraway with Chiba Saeko several years ago and in homage to that singing duo, the NatNao pairing was born. Never really liked her though as I’ve seen better talent.

Either way, if you are familiar with my past rants, I find jpop or any music from Japan kind of boring now as they really don’t have much vocal talent and everything is so cookie cutter.

Japanese people really are just cut out for “just” Karaoke in the end LOL…which is most of them will never hit mainstream and always remain niche in soil outside of the rising run.

Doesn’t mean I won’t pop in a jpop tune once in awhile but give me Zeppelin, Janis Joplin any day other than cookie cutter pop crap.

    But hey…that’s just me.

Also, you have this tendency to respond to very old posts lol. Not that I mind, but I tend to move on from those. I guess I decided to respond for the hell of it. *shrugs*
